How do I know which speed setting is right for me?

The individual heart rate is used as a guideline for setting the intensity of the vibration. The body begins burning fat at approximately 65% of the maximum pulse rate. While exercising, the pulse rate should generally be at 60 - 70% in the first few weeks. Within a few weeks of undertaking a routine of 3 workouts per week of 30 minutes each, the intensity can be increased to the optimal fat burning rate of 70 – 85% of your maximum pulse rate.

As a rule of thumb, the following formula is commonly used:

Maximum pulse rate: 220 minus your age in years = your individual maximum pulse rate per min.

Minimum pulse rate: Max PR x 0.7 = minimum pulse rate per min.

Highest pulse rate for exercising: Max PR x 0.85 = highest pulse rate per min.

Can I get a cardiovscular workout using the Vibrodisc?

You can increase your level of cardiovascular activity in the following ways…
Increase the speed level of the Vibrodisc
• Increase the time spent performing the more dynamic exercises
• Increase the speed at which you perform the repetitive exercises
• Using handweights

Who is using the vibration platform?

People are using the vibration platforms for a whole range of different needs. We have a customer with agoraphobia who has been housebound for 5 years, a paraplegic child, people with sports injuries & swelling, people with sciatica, back, shoulder and hip problems, poor circulation, loss of motivation in life and those overweight, to name just a few!

How often should I use the vibration platform?

Every day! The timer allows for up to a 10 minute session and this can be
performed 2-3 times per day.

Where did Vibration Technology originate?

How does Vibration Technology work?

In traditional strength and power training, the load on the muscles is determined by the weight lifted. When using the Vibration Platform, a specific frequency and amplitude of vibration is chosen and the movement of the plate loads the limbs. The vibrations stimulate a reflex contraction within the muscle which leads to a high level of muscle activation and exertion. The superior muscleactivation that the vibration machine stimulates compared to conventional training, means that less time is required to work muscle groups completely and the benefits are wider ranging than those achieved by ordinary exercise.
